The Late Pleistocene-Early Holocene Maghreb people were nomadic or semi-nomadic hunter-gatherers. Their settlements varied considerably in size. Caves, rock shelters and open-air locales were all used as living spaces. The tradition dates from more than 20,000 to 7500 BP (more than 18,000–5500 BC) and is located on the Mediterranean coast of northern Africa.
