Abstract
This short document explains why University of California, Berkeley together with Pakistan’s Department of Archaeology excavated at Harappa, and provides acknowledgements, including for funding. This and other papers from the volume [i]Harappa excavations, 1986-1990[/i] were first presented at the Society for American Archaeology meetings in April 1991.
