Abstract
The author discusses excavation finds at Harappa that provide clues to settlement use. The project was designed to collect data to test two models of urban development, and results do indicate early city planning, with continuity throughout five periods of occupation. The findings from previous excavation projects are also reviewed. Only data pertaining to the Mature Indus are relevant to this collection.
