harappa excavations, 1986-1990: a multidisciplinary approach to third millenium urbanism (3) • Published In 1991 • Pages: 71-88

By: Wright, Rita P..

Abstract
The author examines a pottery workshop area in the northwest corner of Mound E, dating to Periods 2-3, for evidence of craft specialization and control of production. Comparisons to pottery manufacture at Harappa Mound AB, at Mohenjo-daro, and in Mesopotamia indicate production could be organized in different ways. Only data pertaining to the Mature Indus are relevant to this collection.
