Only the data that pertain to the Protohistoric through the second dynasty were indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects. Barabara Adams describes the 1979 -1985 and 1986 Hierakonpolis expedition which conducted excavations in the Locality 6 cemetery. Maps of the cemetery and some of the elite burials are shown and described. Previous work is also discussed. Adams shows the rise of the elite in Upper Egypt.
