Abstract: Brief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
The McCluskey site has a sparse Laurel Culture occupation and a much denser Late Woodland occupation that is within the Blackduck tradition. The site is located above Whitefish Lake. The only features are a pottery concentration, two hearths, a roasting pit, and a mound with human bone and small mortuary vessels. Dawson describes the ceramics and lithics found along with the few artifacts of bone or copper that were found.
