Abstract
This is a excavation report of a middle-period Dawenkou site in Shandong Province. Thirty-one tombs and over 700 funerary objects were uncovered. The tombs were bunched into three groups and showed variation in size and in the number and quality of objects. The report provides a detailed description of each grave and similarly a detailed classification of pottery types. The authors distinguish three time periods based on different sytles of pottery and relate the overall period of the site to another dated site which contained similar pottery forms. The report contains diagrams of graves, pottery types, and a complete inventory of all artifacts.
