By: Dittmann, Reinhard.

Abstract
Dittmann discusses the archaeological levels and their dates for the site of Susa in Iran to determine whether there is or is not a Jemdet Nasr period between the Late Uruk and Proto Elamite I periods. Dittmann discusses Jemdet Nasr ceramic ware, especially monochrome Jemdet Nasr ware and focuses on dating the strata. Although the Jemdet Nasr ceramics found at Susa were probably only influenced from Jemdet Nasr ceramics in Mesopotamia, data pertaining to the ceramics were indexed for category 323 of the OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects.
