By: Young, T. Cuyler.

Abstract
Young gives 'a brief review of the site of Godin Tepe in Period VI/V;…an overview of this period in the Kangavar valley and neighboring valleys…' (page 212), and a discussion of how the Jemdet Nasr people from Mesopotamia may have influenced the central western Iran (most likely as traders living in an enclosure inside Godin Tepe). The discussants debate about absolute dates for Mesopotamia and trade or other cultural contact between Mesopotamia and Susa.
