Abstract
Hamroush and Zied were interested the geological and geomorphological characteristics of El Omari and the relation between the site's setting and the Nile flood plain. They point out how the wadi (Wadi Hof) affects the behavior of the Nile River. There are springs in the vicinity of the site and it is near these perennial springs that one finds the Neolithic artifacts. The Neolithic located the site on a wadi terrace so as to be able to take advantage of the Nile flood plain, the desert wadi, and the perennial springs.
