Report on human remains

El Omari : a neolithic settlement and other sites in the vicinity of Wadi Hof, Helwan, by Fernand Debono and Bodil MortensenMainz Am Rhein • Published In 1990 • Pages: 95-98

By: Derry, Douglas Erith.

Abstract
Derry analyzed more than one dozen burials, five men, two women, five children, and four unidentifiable. Of these burials only two were complete skeletons. Although he doesn't have positive evidence as to the 'race' of the skeletons he does state they don't differ from the predynastic or Southern 'race'. Four of a possible six tibiae show flattening of the tibia shaft or platycnemia. One man's skull also showed evidence of a depressed fracture injury.
