Abstract
Dohm examines settlement patterns on Cedar Mesa. She found pit houses in clusters of two to three houses. The dwellings appear to be contemporaneous. Dohm would call these clusters hamlets and concludes this type of settlement pattern was the precursor to later Anasazi villages.
