Abstract
Chisholm and Matson analyzed carbon and nitrogen isotope from bone gelatin from ten individuals to learn more about Basketmaker II diet. The data indicate that the Basketmaker II individuals ate a diet that was primarily from C-4 plants or C-4 eating herbivores. This is interpreted as a diet based on maize.
