Abstract
Fisch looks at the four periods that comprise the Early and Middle formative periods in the Valley of Oaxaca and discusses settlement patterns, estimated population, catchment analysis as it pertains to maize yields and the potential population a grid square could support, and whether large sites are ideally situated within the landscape.
