Abstract
Lewenstein reports on a functional analysis of 700 lithic artifacts uncovered at one mound group (Feature 11) in Cerros. Most of the artifacts were found in five discrete areas. One cluster appeared to be a bone- and woodworking site and another, a hide-processing and leather-working site. A third cluster included tools such as adzes for rough woodworking and a fourth cluster appeared to be a stone tool manufacturing and fine woodworking area. All of these clusters were not associated with residences, but according to Lewenstein, with men's houses.
