By: Carr, Helen Sorayya.

Abstract
Carr reports on a preliminary analysis of the 1,190 faunal fragments uncovered at Cerros. She first discusses the environment of Cerros and the different faunal habitats. Thirty-five taxa are represented in the collection; 27 taxa are aquatic. In terms of biomass the largest taxa represented are teleosts, followed by white-tailed deer, blue crab, and dog. She notes the functional context and chronological strata in which they are found. Aquatic animals appear to be the primary source of meat. Carr lists the different species found and their frequency and biomass.
