Abstract
This document presents the findings from investigation of the Dayao quarry site, with analysis of the various cores, flakes and tools in the lithic assemblage. Other important archaeological areas of Inner Mongolia are described. [The authors date the site of Salawusu to 50,000-35,000 BP; newer evidence indicates it pertains wholly to the Middle Paleolithic.]
