Abstract
This Ph.D. dissertation details archaeological survey and excavation in west-central Ghana. Thirty-six Kintampo Neolithic to Iron Age sites were found. The study mainly centers on the excavations and findings at the K6 rockshelter, occupation of which extended from the Late Stone Age Punpun phase through the Kintampo Neolithic and into the Iron Age. The site includes some evidence of shelter construction, ceramics, and early goats.
