Abstract
Kense and Okoro review the ethnographic and archaeological literature on both the west African Iron Industry and Iron Age and focuses on two sites, which they believe are important for understanding the origins of west African iron making. The sites are Nok, Nigeria and Haut Ogooué, Gabon. For other reviews of literature on origns and technology see documents nos. 7, 8, 11, and 16.
