Abstract
This work offers a chronology of the archaeological sites in the Kotzebue Sound of Northwest Alaska, based on the published and unpublished findings of archaeologists working in the area. Various dating methods were employed, including radiocarbon, tree rings, and beach ridge position. Cultures identified in the area include Palisades, Denbigh Flint, Choris, Old Whaling, Norton, Ipiutak, Birnik, and Western Thule.
