Ceramic accumulation rates and prehistoric Tonto Basin households

roosevelt community development study: new perspectives on tonto basin prehistory (15) • Published In 1995 • Pages: 79-126

By: Wallace, Henry D..

Abstract
Wallace 'models ceramic accumulation to infer the numbers of households at Locus A of the Meddler Point site over time and to estimate the scale of ceramic importation and consumption at the site. These results have important implications for research into population levels, social organization, and social interaction. Results of the study are also used to model trash deposition at the Meddler Point site and to assess the role of the platform mound compound.' (page 79).
