Abstract
This is an archaeological analysis of the macrobotanical plant remains at the Wind Mountain site in the upper Sonoran life zone of New Mexico. The authors discuss the types of wood used in house construction and for fuel at the site, as well as plant food remains indicative of the use of maize, beans, squash, nuts, agave, fruits and berries, and various seeds and greens. The work concludes with a few brief notes on the environmental and historic changes at Wind Mountain relevant to agriculture and the introduction of grazing animals to the area.
