Abstract
Five burials of exceptionally large males were uncovered in a platform at Dos Cabezas in the Jequetepeque Valley. In a preliminary skeletal analysis, the authors take a forensic approach to reconstruct the stature, health, lifestyle or occupation, and age at death of these individuals. They find traces in the bones of a kneeling posture frequently shown on modeled ceramic figurines of warriors.
