Abstract
The authors excavated 84 burials from various locations at Pacatnamu in the Jequetepeque Valley. Most came from a single cemetery. Three came from a cemetery where only children were found. The remaining burials were from isolated clusters scattered throughout the site. Following a summary of findings, individual burials are described in detail. Drawings of the graves and of select grave goods are provided, along with a list of the contents of each grave, including organic materials. Stylistically, the ceramics indicate a date of late Moche II through Moche III, but three radiocarbon samples produced a date of AD 510-750 calibrated (1490-1250 BP), a range usually given to Moche IV-V.
