Abstract: Brief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document Ceramics from the Rock Island site show a mix of Laurel and North Bay decorative traits. This suggests that Rock Island was at the frontier between these two related cultures early in the Laurel cultural sequence. Mason describes the ceramics (in detail) and some of the other artifacts found at the site.
