Abstract
This is an extensive overview of the Indus sequence, from the Regionalization Era to the Localization Era, concentrating on the cities where most excavations have occurred; only portions pertaining to the Mature Indus are relevant to this collection. The discussion includes reasons for the decline of larger cities, how the economy may have functioned, how cities were may have been ruled, clues to religious beliefs in the artwork, evidence for social classes, and daily life amidst life cycle rituals.
