Abstract
Biehl analyzes figurines from the Neolithic and Chalcolithic Periods by examining their design motifs, where the designs are found on the figurines, the figurines gender, stance or gestures, masks on the figurines, and the breadage patterns of the figurines. This analysis indicates there were known rules in creating and using these figurines which can shed light on the peoples belief and communication systems.
