By: Copeland, L. (Lorraine).
Abstract
Copeland describes the lithic artifacts from the Late Neolithic, Transitional, and Halaf periods. She compares the tools found to those in the northern Levant and Cilicia. Most of the same techniques and materials were used in the Late Neolithic through to the Halaf period. However, only the data that pertain to the Ceramic Neolithic (here termed Late Neolithic and Transitional Period) were indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials)subjects. The data on the Halaf lithics were not indexed for (Outline of Cultural Materials)subjects as there is a separate eHRAF collection on Halaf (M086).
