Abstract
Drillings and geo-electical soundings for paleogeographical investigations were conducted to determine the subsurface around Minshat Abu Omar. Swamps or marsh were near the mound in the 4th to 3rd millenium B.C. Minshat Abu Omar and the eastern Delta are compared to the western Delta. One point of these investigations is to find out where settlements might be found. The environmental conditions back to the Neolithic were discussed. Only the data that pertain to the Late Chalcolithic to the Early Dynastic periods were indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects.
