Middle and Late Archaic architecture

By: Sassaman, Kenneth E., Ledbetter, R. Jerald.

Abstract
Sassaman and Ledbetter summarize what is known about architecture for the Middle and Late Archaic periods. Unfortunately, most of the data come from Late Archaic period structures, feature distributions, and artifact patterning. (The reader should use caution as it is not always clear what time period is being discussed.) In discussing architecture, Sassaman and Ledbetter also discuss settlement patterns and mobility and seasonal movement.
