Abstract
Conrad presents a discussion of the Late Archaic and Early Woodland in the Spoon and La Moine River basins and Sugar Creek basin in west-central Illinois. Only the data that pertain to the Early Woodland time period were indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects. Conrad discusses the locations of Red Ochre, Marion, and Black Sand sites, their artifact distributions, and their settlement patterns.
