By: Saunders, Rebecca.

Abstract
Saunders examined the design elements from two sites in southeast Georgia (located 1.5 kilometers apart) and compared them. She tried to determine the relationship between the two sites. The middens at the sites indicate short term occupation for both, perhaps both sites were used as part of a seasonal round. Saunders is 'inclined to think that the same population occupied the two sites. The similarity in carving and style … is particularly persuasive…[I]t might be noted that … [few] of the designs pictures by Snow … from sites in south-central Georgia could be incorporated into the design groups found at the Georgia coast sites … ' (page 177).
