Abstract
Rice provides a description of the Classic Hohokam community of Marana. It was a complex of residential neighborhoods and their associated fields and gathering areas. Arizona State University conducted excavations at the sites of Muchas Casas, Rancho Derrio, and Rancho Bajo in the spring and early summer of 1985. Their excavation methods are described and maps of the sites and areas of excavation are also provided.
