Abstract
This study, in Spanish, is an analysis of the human skeletal remains found in the 77 burials at the Las Vegas site (OGSE-80) on the Santa Elena peninsula in Ecuador. The skeletal analysis includes information on anthropometry, an inventory of specific bones found in each of the burials, and morbidity factors associated with the bones (e.g., lesions indicative of certain diseases, unhealed fractures, worn down teeth, etc.). The author notes that data on morbidity compare favorably with data on other pre-agricultural populations.
