New materials from Salawusu sites of north China: Paleoliths of 1980 excavation at Fanjiagouwan

Abstract
A key paleolithic site originally excavated in 1923 by French scholar Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and compatriots, E. Licent, M. Boule and H. Breuil, Salawusu was revisted in the years, 1956, 1960, 1963, and 1978-1980. The author, Huang Weiwan, led the excavation of a nearby site, Fanjiagouwan, in the summer of 1980, with the purpose to better situate the site in the archeological record. Stone tools are classified and described.
