Preliminary report on the excavation of Shuidonggou site in 1980

Abstract
In 1923 Shuidonggou was the earliest Paleolithic site to be systematically excavated in China. In 1980 archeologists returned to excavate new material, obtain absolute dates, and reanalyze earlier findings. The stratigraphy and lists of animal species and stones tool types are reported.
