Abstract
Ansari and Dhavalikar excavated two trenches at Kayatha, a chalcolithic site in Dist. Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. Periods I-III are the chalcolithic cultures known as Kayatha, Ahar or Banas, and Malwa; respectively. The majority of this report is concerned with ceramics; their description and illustration. Also found were stone tools, copper tools and ornaments, terracotta figurines, and house remains. The houses were incompletely excavated as the trenches could not be expanded due to space constraints. Numerous figures are found throughout the report. This report contains unrepresentable characters.
