Abstract
Harding and Coles present an overview of the late Bronze Age in central Europe. They discuss the changes from the previous period and what may be found in this one. They present a general picture of the environment. The types of settlements that can be found include fortresses and they discuss the architecture found in settlements such as houses and barns. Funerary rites are discussed, especially cremations, as cremation was adopted over a wide area during the later part of this period. Harding and Coles also describe the material culture including vehicles and weapons. They sketch the economy, and report on the absolute and relative chronology of this time period.
