Abstract
This article presents a regional study of the development of the Bassar iron industry from its initial stage around 1200 B.P. during which iron goods were produced on a small scale for local consumption -- the focus of this file -- to approximately 75 B.P., as the industry began to decline in importance. Only the data relevant to the early developmental period of the industry, ca. 1200 B.P., have been indexed, including information contained in the tables and text figures.
