By: Hamroush, Hany A., Zied, Hassan Abu.
AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
Hamroush and Zied present the results of petrochemical and chemical analyses of the ceramics. The analyses consisted of petrographic thin section, minerological x-ray powder diffraction, and instrumental neutron activation analysis. They determined the firing temperatures used on the ceramics and that the people of El Omari used local clay sources and not Nilotic sediments.
