By: Hendrickx, Stan.
Abstract
Hendrickx discusses of Petrie's Sequence Dating and Kaiser's STUFEN chronology to re-examine the relative chronology of the Naqada culture. He points out how they were created and the problems with using them. 'The inconsistencies regarding the archaeological description of the differences between the principal periods of the Naqada culture are important enough to enforce a change in terminology. However, it seems to be too early to do so.' (page 64.). Despite this statement Hendrickx provides an absolute chronology for Naqada I-III on page 64.
