Abstract
Kroeper describes eight elite tombs and their contents from the Early Dynastic period, probably the first Dynasty. These tombs were probably the graves of the ruling elite of Minshat Abu Omar. Only a couple of generations are represented by these tombs. There seems to be no gender differences in the burials according to the offerings or tomb construction. The author uses the word NIVEAU without translating it. The word is French and means level as in a stratigraphic level.
