By: Michie, James L..

Abstract
Michie describes how he came to learn about and then excavate the Taylor site. He describes the excavations, his findings and the mistakes that were made during the excavation. The findings from the excavation include lithic bifaces and tools, soil discoloration, cobble and artifact clusters, and fire hearths. As the site is located along the Fall Line in central South Carolina the site may represent a band aggregation camp or a series of extended residential camps.
