Flaked stone technology and typology

Agate Basin site : a record of the Paleoindian occupation of the northwestern High Plains, by George C. Frison, Dennis J. StanfordNew York • Published In 1982 • Pages: 181-208

By: Bradley, Bruce A..

Abstract
Bradley analyzed the flake stone collection. He divided it into three groups composed of the Agate Basin level, the Folsom level, and the Clovis level from the Sheaman site. The material from the last was not indexed for OCM codes (Outline of Cultural Materials) as it is earlier than the time period for the Late Paleo-Indian tradition. Although Hell Gap material was found it was not included in his study. 'The primary intent is to describe the morphological and technological attributes and characteristics of the retouched artifactual materials.' (page 181).
