Abstract
Delcourt et al. present the results from two paleoecological sites located in the western lowlands of southeastern Missouri and northeastern Arkansas; Hood Lake and Powers Fort Swale. Both of these sites contained pollen and plant macrofossils allowing Delcourt et al. to reconstruct a vegetational history of the western lowlands of the central Mississippi Alluvial valley and of the Sloan site during the change from late Pleistocene to Holocene climates. Percentage diagrams for pollen grain assemblages and vegetation maps are included.
