Abstract
Dumond describes the archaeological sequence found in the Naknek region of Alaska, near the Alaskan Peninsula. He discusses the different phases of the Norton tradition in this area which he has labeled Smelt Creek, Brooks River Weir, and Brooks River Falls. He also attempts to calculate the relative population size during the different phases. The spatial distribution of the sites is explored. Finally the different artifact types found in the region are described.
