Norton: a changing southeastern boundary

Arctic anthropology19 (2) • Published In 1982 • Pages: {9}

Abstract
The authors propose that two sites from southern Alaska, Pedro Bay on Iliamna Lake and Belulga Point on the Upper Cook Inlet, are Norton tradition sites based on their artifact assemblages and dates. Reger and Townsend suggest the Norton cultural boundary shifted from the Upper Cook Inlet early in the Norton culture to the southwest shore of Cook Inlet or the east end of Iliamna Lake during the later period of the Norton culture.
