By: Downs, Elinor F..
AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
Downs examined the organic residues on lithic artifacts from several sites in the Jornada region to try to determine the nature and significance of the residues. The residues were determined to be from fresh noncultural vegetal matter and a few tools also showed sotol and yucca. No blood residues were found, probably due to the age of the artifacts.
