Abstract
Bayham and Morris present a synthesis of the prehistoric use and environmental changes that occurred in the Picacho reservoir area. 'The long-term pattern of episodic use of the ... study area coincides with temperature maxima which are inferred to indicate periods of increased summer monsoon rains.' (page 380). The sites are described and their characteristics for the various stages described also - Middle Archaic site characteristics, Late Archaic/Transitional site characteristics, etc. Bayham and Morris also describe the environmental and climatic changes that occurred in the area.
