Abstract
This is an account of Harold S Gladwin's initial attempt to locate the archaeological site of Snaketown in 1927. The article describes briefly the method he used to excavate the site, and the classification of the various sherds he uncovered at Snaketown which were dated primarily to the Sedentary and Colonial periods.
